Entry № 000 · The operator

Most operations run on paper, a spreadsheet, and a group text. I replace those.

Every office has one: the sign-up sheet taped to the kitchen door, retyped into a spreadsheet anyone can edit, then argued over in a group text. Nine years as an executive assistant taught me where those live and which ones are load-bearing. The six case files below are what I built to replace them, up to a hospital float pool that ran on one piece of paper.

Currently an executive assistant at a Denver hospital, open to what’s next.

Further entries

  • Too Great to Go: A watcher for a surplus-food app with no public API. Unattended since June; every drop it has seen is republished each morning as an almanac.
  • DenverTrivia.Zone: Every trivia night in Denver, reconciled from a long community thread and eight directories that disagree with each other, published as one self-contained page.
  • DeckPlate: A mirror of the NAVSEA Standard Item specifications with a question-and-answer layer, an evaluation harness, and per-user cost limits.
  • Kayse Ray Photography: Client work: a four-page site for a Southern California portrait photographer, generated from one list of photographs, with a contact form that has to prove it works before a deploy is called done.

Statement of account

“Jack of all trades” is usually a dig. In operations it’s the whole job: the same week can demand a process map, a pivot table, a difficult phone call, and a working deploy. That’s the week I’m built for.

On account

  • Nine years as an executive assistant: the person who actually knows how the place runs.
  • Airbnb owner-operator: pricing, turnover, maintenance, guest ops.
  • I do my own taxes, down to item-level depreciation schedules.
  • I manage my own investments; comfortable reading a P&L and a lease alike.
  • I ship real software, from hospital scheduling to office tools to pipelines that run every morning without me.

Record of service

Open to full-time roles: executive assistant, chief of staff, operations, process improvement, business systems. Denver or remote.
